sounds like barclys to me, not interested in fraud......
A Barclays member of staff croocked my account for £100,000 from transfering the funds to his account at barclays head office......
they swept the issue under the carpet & tried to give me shush money.
I dont trust Barclays or their staff at all now. |

Yes, ive got a hsbc debit card, and my statement said ive bought porn magazines over the internet someone in nederlands. when i rang hsbc they put the money back, blocked the card, and said sorry because it was an error from their staff.
Id recomend you to change to lloydstsb. they are truly reliable. |

I am being chased (two years on) for a Littlewood's catalogue that I have never had! They are so persistent, that I am waiting for them to take me to court!!! |

What about your statements. Do you shred them ? as it has been known for thieves to access details from papered information from refuse. |

A friend of mine was a victim of credit card fraud, they later found out they had there card 'scanned' at a petrol station.
Peoples credit card can be stolen from the post, they can buy your details or they can get hold of your details through paperwork. How secure is your banks data or paperwork disposal.
They can also get your details over an unsecured Internet service. |

Nearly EVERY large merchant has had there computer system hacked. At least once a month you hear a new story about a company DISCOVERING their security has been breached. That said, the majority of fraud is actually committed by someone the victim knows. Both options are possible. |

It probably happened when you used it on Amazon on the internet.Barclays should reimburse you though. You will have to prove that you were not at the places your card was being used by the fraudster.Don't give up,just because Barclays do not seem interested, make them take an interest. |

I was a victim of credit card fraud last week. In less than a week someone has spent nearly £1000 on the card. I'm still trying to sort it out. I've never used the card in a cash machine or shop. I have only used it online on 3 websites which are supposed to be secure. I wish I knew how they get card details. I just don't feel at all confident using a credit card now |

It is really unfortunate. The identity thief might have got it from looking through your garbage or found an receipt from the store you go to. Always make sure to get rid of any offers from the bank with your personal information by tearing it up first. |

im not saying ur mates would do it to u, but, i had, wot i thot was a really good friend, she stole my bank card and went on a spending spree!! it doesnt take much for someone to steal ur credit card details, u could have entered ur details on a dodgy net site, or thrown away something with ur card details on? some atm machines have been tampered with, always cover the key pad thingy at the machines. when it happened to me, bank of scotland said that perhaps i was unaware of what i was doing and gave my card to the girl to use it as she pleases. sorry to hear bout what happened!! |

they got your details.because you buy on line.you might as well send then your card details direct.on line crime has over taken actal real.and you will not get your money back because banks brought out chip and pin.and they say the only way crooks can get your details if you gave it to then.and its up to you to prove you did not.thats how the banks get out of paying you back. |

I realised in the week money has been taken out of my account little but often, I reported this to Santander, who said it sounds like fruad but i got a letter today saying it was not, I know I did not book a flight and it is all spent on the net in usd not gbp. I feel they are treating me more like a criminal, and to top it off they have charged me overdraft fees for paying it.......... Not a happy bunny. They have stopped my card now, and it takes a week to get a new one. By the sounds of it, I am not going to be reimbursed, even though I offered to take my passport in to the bank and show them I have not left the country. Surely there is a ombudsman???? |
