I personally dont think £1000 is a BAD debt but if it is affecting you call CCCS Consumer Credit Counselling Service who offer free advice and in some cases contact your creditors on your behalf to arrange payment all interest may be stopped on accounts and they are very understanding. Your debt is costing you money right out of your pocket. In effect, by carrying £1,000 in debt, you have given yourself a pay-cut. Does that not seem kind of dumb to you? |

Debt is bad if it costs you money. It is good, if you have bought something with it, which pays you more than the interest you are paying on the debt.
The amount of debt is irrelevant, what is important is whether you can afford it. |

if you are paying silly interest on it put it on a credit card [offers for 0% balance transfers] .

£1000 is nothing, if your struggling you could see your bank for a loan with a low interest rate and prob pay that off in a yr or 2 depending on how much u can afford. which would be tiny amounts to pay a month to clear it off |
