How long have you had your DD set up? Most companies need 1 whole pay period to finalize the DD. I've even worked at a couple of places that took a whole month. If you have had it set up and have had no problems until now it is most likely the holiday and your best bet is to call the bank later today when they are open to find out when it will actually go through. Some banks wait until the same time next business day (which would be Monday at midnight) and others will do it later the same day. You just need to call them to find out. |

The holiday probably just delayed it by a day. Direct deposit takes 2 business days to hit the bank. One day to get to the feds and another to get to the receiving bank. When it gets posted to your account depends on the receiving bank. |

The banks would have been closed yesterday, possibly today as well. Even if they are open, banks do not process activity on Fri or Sat nights. So, it will likely be processed on Sun for posting by Mon. |

Relax - my DD usually goes in at 12:05 am - and one day it took until 5:05 am - I could not get it before 9 - so relax -

Direct deposit can take several days if the banks are different. There is no real technological reason for it but the banks have the use of your money. And lending huge amounts of money for 24 hours make enormous amounts of money for the banks. It id the same as when your tax is being deducted weekly but the employers don't have to give it to the state for a month. Another way of robbing people and how many are aware of the fact that big business is getting welfare this way? |

If you called and check your acct. by a recording it's probably that the recording hasn't been updated. That has happened to me and freaked me out more than once. |

the banks love to play games with our money. They may
say that the deposit goes in at a certain time, but I notice
that my bank, while it does note the deposit on time, tells
me that the deposit is "pending" for the whole business
day-technically withholding my paycheck from my use
while they "float" the amount and combined with the
1000's of other paychecks/deposits, make interest on
my money that they keep for themselves. Its a ripoff, but
what else can you do? If you don't have a bank account,
you get ripped off by the check cashing companies, and
you have no credit ratings......this is so screwed up.... |
