Neither Macy's, Boscov's and certain gas stations accept ATM debit cards as payment in MD. Otherwise, ATM debit cards are pretty much accepted anywhere else. |

Even if a store does not directly accept debit as a form of payment, they will just run your Debit card as a Credit card, which does basically the same thing. |

Yes. But it varies by county on how to use your card.
Signature Transaction, you sign for your purchase.
Pin transactions, you enter your pin.
U.S. debit card with a MasterCard or Visa Symbol can work as a pin or as as signature transaction.
Some banks and some merchants charge a pin transaction fee.. |

Yes...if you don't know your pin, sometimes you can run it through as "credit". It still comes out of your checking account. |
