if they have more credit debt than they have money in the bank i'd say you should help em out and babysit more and cover your own lunch money or at least a part of it. |

best to babysit now either way. you are less likely to impulse buy/more likely to appreciate what you do buy if you have to earn the money. (i'm not saying that you don't appreciate things now, it's just different when you think, i had to spend 2 hours babysitting to go to a movie, puts things in a different perspective) |

It wouldn't help to babysit a bit more just to be a bit more self-reliant. But it would be a good idea not to ask them for stuff you don't really need. Food shouldn't be too big of a deal, as it's needed to sustain life.
Those figures alone can't tell the whole story, but to me, that sounds like some things might be a bit iffy. |
