Do the surveys online really give away free stuff?
just wondering if they do and why they give stuff away for free

Usually the only way you get any money is by signing up for supposedly free offers that are actually reoccurring charges on your credit card and they will ask for your credit card # at some point. Stay away from that crap, if you want to make money online try ebay, it works.

Mr. Phillip Patrick
With the site I use, CashCrate, you not only arn money, but points aswell. You can use these points to "buy" gifts from the prize shop. They have many gift cards for multiple stores ranging from $10 - $100 and they also have a Ipod shuffle, Ipod Video, Digital Camera, Xbox 360 , PS3, PSP, and a Portable DVD Player. You can earn points by doing cash offers. $1earned = 1 point. You can also do the points offers that give you between 20 - 30 points per offer. I currently have 700 points and have already "bought" a $20 Best Buy Gift Card.

Well you could try survey sites. They've worked for me. I review some survey sites to make money that have worked for me at http://safesurveysites.com What you have to do is complete surveys and offers for companies that want the public's opinion. By doing this, you are able to earn money very easily for simply giving your opinion or trying out sample products. This is a great service that allows one to work from home, on their spare time, at their leisure, and still bring in a nice sum of money every month. People have made up to $1000 easily on this site by just working on it in their spare time. It is not going to replace a real job's salary, but it is a very nice bonus. There are also many features on these web site, such as contests and special surveys, from which you can redeem extra prizes that would be sent to you with your monthly cheque, such as iPods, Xbox 360s, PSPs, digital cameras, gift certificates, and much more.

Cheques are sent monthly, and usually arrive about a week or a week and a half into the next month. No payment from you is ever required, not to sign up, not EVER. Unlike other sites that try to scam people out of their money, these sites never requires you to pay them.

"If the site doesn't get paid from me, then why would they have this service going?" - The sites don't get paid directly from you, but when you complete an offer or survey, they also get paid a small portion of what you earned yourself. For example, if you complete a survey about computers let's say, you would earn maybe $2 and the web site itself would recieve $0.50 from the company also for getting you to complete the survey. These surveys take little time at all, most taking up less than even 1 or 2 minutes of your time.

Fraud is also a big deal on the Internet these days, and this site recognizes that. That is why they ask for ONLY three bits of information: Your name, email address and your home address. Yup, that is all. No credit card information, no banking information, nothing like that. All they require is your name and address so that your cheque can be sent to your home every month. Your email address is only required to confirm that you have done the offers and surveys. Fortunately, no spam mail or junk mail is ever sent out by this site and your information is never shared with any other company.

Personally I have been a member of these websites, along with thousands of other satisfied users, for approximately 1.5 years now and have earned well over $8600 by working in my spare time. This web site has been great to me, also the members and administrator are very friendly, and are always there to help you with a question or problem you may be having. So far, I've listed only positives about this site, because I can't think of a single negative thing about it. Earn money in your spare time, at no cost to you...Easy as that! I give you my word that they pay.

email me at lancesurveys@hotmail.com if you have any questions

p.s half the answers you were givens are scams awsurveys, snapdollars, etc. don't worry i deleted most of them

Here's a response from OldBuddy:

I'm sure they're not the only ones either, just the most popular. If you think about what they do it should be obvious to anyone who takes part in the rip off.

Oh I'm not saying they cheat the people who join, of course they wouldn't do that! The scam is perpetrated against the poor advertiser that is offering a nice bonus for people to try their product or service. These are honest businessmen and women who are just trying to make an honest buck and are willing to give in order to receive.

So along comes CashCrate and TreasureTrooper to exploit them, just like Fagin in Oliver Twist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliver_Twist ). Instead of picking up street orphans to train as pickpockets, they find Internet Surfers and train them instead. They teach them to sign up for theses offers and just before they have to pay, cancel everything and bring the money back to CashCrate and TreasureTrooper so you can keep a share.

Who do you think is making all the MONEY???? Just like Fagin, they have everyone scrambling to get a piece of the ill gotten gains.

Good luck!

yes but you have to go around long ways to get it and sometimes you will find its not worth the hassle... but saying that there are sites in which you can get free stuff . try going here http://www.website-wealth.com/freebies.html you can get loads of samples and stuff free and they have a list of survey sites that you can get things like ps3 ipods etc. i've signed up for a couple of things not worked my way through it all yet though

Angela B
Most times it's a scam because they say you have to have a membership to join the survey team and they want your checking account or credit card #...stay away it's a scam...the stuff isn't free bc they charge your account for shipping handling and all kinds of stuff...been there, done that, won't do it ever again.

Yes they do sorta. Harris Poll gives you points for answering their surveys which you can redeem for prizes.

Kathleen
The only one I know of that really gives stuff away for free is E-Rewards.com. They email you different surveys to take and you get points. The points add up & you can use them for magazine subscriptions, coupons, airline miles, and a bunch of other stuff.

Yes!

This page tells you exactly how to get free $300 gift certificates. Really, it's the best way to get free stuff online because YOU get to choose exactly what you want to get. What could be better?

http://www.squidoo.com/stufffree

It's totally legit, you should go set it up right now.

Watch the videos and it'll only take you about 10 minutes.

The majority of those sites are usually scams to just collect peoples email addresses to send spam emails. There might(?) be a few legit ones, but the majority are not.

I signed up for some cash for survey thing once, and I can't even use the email account I signed up with any more because of all the spam I ended up getting. Literally, like 50 emails a day or more.

Also, a lot of the time they just keep trying to get you to complete more and more offers before you supposedly can have enough "points" to get a prize, but you never end up getting anywhere because all the different things they want you to do or sign up for are just ridiculous.

I would recommend staying away from those kinds of sites...

You can also look up specific sites here: http://www.siteadvisor.com/ to see if other people have complained about them before.

Another thing to do is Google the specific URL of the site you're questioning, with the word "scam", and if the site is a scam you'll usually get a bunch of results. like this: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=FreePayingSurveys.com+scam&btnG=Search

Also, NEVER give any of these sites your credit card number. There is no legit reason that they would need your credit card number to give YOU prizes.
