You have to go to a branch of the bank that issues the checks to the person writing it and have a valid ID, but make sure it's legit, they got cameras watching and come down hard on check fraud! |

If you have a bank account, you should be able to cash the check at your bank. The bank may require that you have enough funds in your account to cover the check in case bounces.
If you do not have a bank account, you can go to the bank of the person who wrote you the check to cash it.
If the check is from the government or a business, you can take it to a check-cashing store, sometimes called a "currency exchange". They will charge you a fee for this service which will be in the range of 2-4% of the amount of the check. Most of these places will NOT cash personal checks (from other individuals).
Hope this helps. Good luck. |

You have to go to the bank the check is from. They usually charge 5 dollars if you don't have an account with them. See if your parents will deposit it in there account and give you the money. Your age doesn't matter as long as you have state issued picture id. |

whatever bank is on the check will usually cash it, other then that you need a account. |

If its a personal check, you go to the bank the check is written on and get it cashed there. Or have someone who has a bank account go to their bank, sign under your name and put their account number under it<their account guarantees the check provided they have enough in their account>. Or you must have a bank account. No check cashing place cashes a personal check unless its your own you write to them. If its a business check like from a business to you , you can go to the bank its written on , Wal Mart, or a check cashing place and cash it.. You must have a valid state issued ID or drivers license to get it cashed. |

You can go to the bank that the check is drawn on. Look at the front of the check for the name of the bank. Bring some form of ID, but being 17 is fine.
You should take the check to a bank and open an account with it. It is good to have a savings account. |

Go to the bank that is on the check. make sure you bring your ID with you, and they will cash it without having an account as long as the check has enough funds. good luck! |

Go to the maker's bank and you can cash it with an ID. Not a random bank. |

You cannot go to a random bank and cash it. You need to go to the bank where it was drawn upon (the address is on the check).
You might get by with it though. You can use the ole cute-kid routine and look for the oldest bank teller there.
Otherwise you may need a cosigner to cash. You age is not a problem. |

Yes it does. A lot times you will get charged a small fee to cash a check you are not a member with. The reason....the bank has no way to get the money back if it turns out that the check is bad.
If you don't have an account and don't want to pay a fee go to the bank where the check was issued and you should be able to cash it there. |

A random bank probably won't cash a check for someone who does not have an account there. You probably need to go to a check cashing service. |
