Yes! It seems that with in a week after getting paid, I am borrowing money from my daughter to support my p orn addiction!

Yes I have been living paycheck to paycheck the last few years. I'm only 24 and sometimes i'm barely making it to the next paycheck. But just a few weeks ago I sold my car which will free up about 450 between the payment and insurance and i'm settling with driving a old cash car. Savings in your 20's is the prime time to do it and get yourself set up for the future, with something called compounding interest. I'm also going to start making bonuses at work and if I don't i'll be getting a second job to also help out. I would recommend a book by Dave Ramsey called "the complete money makeover" and it will make you see a new light at the end of the tunnel. Best of luck to everyone to make 08 a debt free year and improve yourself.

yeah but it's by pure choice!
I want a nice car instead of a cheaper one! my choice so i'm stuck with that bill!
I want to have nice things so there for I have to pay for them!

now in the past i use to live pay check to pay check picking between rent and heat! now that's not fair but the numbers of that are growing!

it sucks when you have to pick between your needs!

sucks with wants but I can op out on driving a nice car delux cable bill ect!!!

Proud to say that I am NOT living paycheck to paycheck. I was up until about 6 months ago. For me it was a case of me not telling my money where to go properly. Once I got on a spending plan (my zero-based budget) things are great. We have money for everything and there are no surprises. We will be debt free in about 3 years and I am very excited. I haven't really had a big increase in income, either. It is just now my money has a purpose and I know exactly where it is going.

For those living paycheck to paycheck I highly recommend a book called The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. He really shows how you can make your money work for you.

Yes, and sometimes I'm lucky to get to some paycheques.

Indeed most of us do, except if you have a rich hobby or you are a celebrity (footballer) etc.
It is so hard, that sometimes you feel the paycheck is a drop in the ocean even when you do not live ostentatiously.
Alternative sources of income is the best option. Finding whatever will be this source is another problem.

It seems like I'm not, but thinking about it--I feel like I am "scrounging" for money between paychecks instead...I don't know what it is, maybe it's because I'm helping others with their finances too.

No, But I could not miss more then about a month of paychecks before I would be out of money

not any more, my wife and i are middle aged and have turned that corner. i would agree with you that more and more people do go from check to check.
the powers that be do seem more interested in the health of wall street than they do in the health of main street and the average Jane's and Joe's go without a voice to champion their plight.

I used to live paycheck to paycheck, now im more into TRYING to save, because I hate the feeling of not having money. that sucks! if you are living paycheck to paycheck just get a part time job or just save a little from your check each month, im only 19 and im doing this so i know you can!

Big Sky 23
Currently yes, but I'm stashing away some of every paycheck into an emergency savings fund so that I won't have to live that way for much longer.

No because 9 years ago I started a home based business which is creating for me a residual based income, I continue to get an income every month on something I did when I started and this continues as the business builds. I actually started part time but now, apart form the business, I have retired from employment.
In these days of increasing costs and stationary income what I do could benefit so many people, but few ever consider it, they were taught at school to get educated and find a job (Just over Broke).
if you would like to know more about what I do now then send me an email and I will give you some web sites to look at.
