Those that don't like money are usually the ones who have made poor choices in life and live above their means. Money is part of governmental control of the mass population. When money was first minted it was used to enslave people. Without the money they wouldn't be able to purchase anything so they were forced to have to work. Then so the governmental body could live in luxury they collected taxes from those that worked. Unfortunately it's still the same. Aside from earning huge salaries our government leaders will collect full pay checks for the rest of their lives even if they are not in office anymore. What a deal.
The sad truth is that even though money can provide lots of material things it cannot in anyway provide health or spiritual wellbeing. Besides people get rich because of others that are poor. Did you ever notice that a person with little money has to pay extra for something. The smaller the package the more the cost per ounce. It's like punishment for not being able to buy the big box. Look at the ratio of poor people vs the rich. It speaks volumes by itself. What is Bill Gates doing with 50 billion dollars when people are dying on the streets and living out of dumpsters in the USA? Why do people have to pay so much for products so that CEO's can make hundreds of millions and companies can spend millions on a one minute commercial during a Superbowl game. When is money not enough money? What morning will you wake up and say " 20 billion is not enough money for me, I want more"?
The only thing I hate about money is how it creates a world of suffering, a world of crime, and has been the cause of uncountable deaths in the world. |

People make good lives.
Money is just little green slips of paper that people generally assume have power and obsess with.
And plus, some of those people were just born into poor families and really are just unlucky. Ever seen pics of kids in Africa, dude? |

Some people get overly obsessed with money which is the down side to it. But at the same time it can give you more opportunities to do things. People say that "money doesn't buy everything." Which is true, but it does make things easier. So I guess I don't really love or hate money I just kind of view it as a mixed blessing. |

Well, an answer is a double-edged sword, so to speak. As one other answer quoted, "Money is the root of all evil". So true. As I am often quoted as saying, "Take me back to a simpler day in time". Despite it being a necessity these days, when you really consider how life was waaaayyyy back in time, comparing it to today's life and times, when you really think about it, pretty much all of man's technological advances have been about the almighty dollar. Loving what it does for one on a personal level is one thing. But, to love it for what a whole lot of it can do for one, that is where many problems have arisen. If only there were a method where all mankind could have a like share..... |
