Do you spend money without a thought about tomorrow? Or are you a real tight wad?
waad? i think i spelled in wrong.

As in the comment above, who knows if tomorrow will come? But then again, what if it does? Then where will you be?

It's really not so black and white as much as this new generation of consumers just simply does not understand the value of (or in America's state, lack of) our money. If you start early, then litterally for just dollars a day you can be set for the rest of your life.

In this capitalist society we enjoy, the stock market is our great, untapped friend. I don't suggest you invest your *time* into it, but buy into mutual funds and let the experts handle it. You can start an IRA for just $250, and with the trend of growth at 11% a year, you could retire at 55-60 years old sitting on a pile of money worth over half a million dollars. You'd never have to work again...and all for just $6.25 a day. My daily latte and danish costs more than that.

Yes, spend all the money you want, just spend a little on yourself first.

Well I use to be the kind of person that I had money and I would blow it on partying and on myself but now that Im pregnant Im saving it up for my new home and what ever my baby might need. but hey its not bad to save a little every pay check.

First I sit down and list what I need in life. Then I buy those things and pay them off. Then as each item needs repaired or dies, I replace them, getting them as inexpensively as I can (but getting brand names, and buying them new).

Sure, I think about tomorrow, but my existance comes first. If I run into a bill I can't pay at the moment I call the company and talk it out and agree to part payment of some sort, "before" they can call me. This works well for me.

let me tell you about tight . I squeeze a buffalo nickel till it shits . My a ss is tighter than a frogs a ss underwater. They patterned the Scrooge comics after me ,.I get my best meals at the best reaturants in the city- right out of their dumpster- for free, instead of paying $20.00 for a parking space I will drive around until a meter opens up that is $.25 per hour and when my friends and i go out for dinner I conveniently leave my wallet in the car and say I must of left it in my other pants .

if you got money I think its only natural to spend it, especially if you walk through a mall everyday to get to work quite tempting

maxsmom
I'm a spender. Guilty as charged!!!!

harmony
i hold on to the dollar so hard george washinton begs for mercy

when I'm poor, I'm a tightwad, but when I have money, it gushes away from me!

So I think I am not a natural tightwad.

Dianamite
Neither - I save right off the top, and then spend the part that's left after bills on whatever I want.

My friends say I'm so tight with money that I squeek when I walk. I say I think before I spend and then try harder to find the best deal. I invest and save. I would like to retire someday and not worry. I think money is power and when I have it there is a peace of mind. Tight-wad all the way.
