yes, of course you should.
There's nothing wrong with closing the account then going back to open another account.
The worst that will happen is that they will say they can't honour the coupon.
There's nothing illegal about trying to cash a coupon. It's their responsibility to make sure they don't issue duplicates... I'm not sure what these other people are thinking... |

Read the fine print. It probably says something about new customers only. You'd be considered a returning customer. More than likely it wouldn't work. They'll be able to figure it out with your SS#. |

You never know until you try, I'm saying GO FOR IT MAN.
YOUR THE LUCKY DUCK IN THE POND, DONT WASTE WHAT YOU HAVE!!!!!!!!!!! |
|

wtf

I'd try it, what are they gonna do. The worst that could happen is they tell you no. But don't you have to give your SSN to open the account. They might match it with your old account but its worth a try, its a $100. |

Go ahead and do it. The worst they can do is say no to the second one. |

i'm willing to bet they have a rule against it.

they would prolly catch on and have your name on file or something from the previous account. I'm not sure but you never get away with stuff like that, ya know? Just too good to be true :) |

I'm pretty sure that you won't get away with it a second time... they will check their records and see how you opened it up to begin with. |

try it, it's not illegal, whats the worst that could happen, they say no sorry you can't do that.. or they say yeah sure.. and u get the money, but remember, money isn't everything. |

I'm sure it has something in the fine print about limits of one per person and you probably have to keep the account open for a period of time... |

u don't havta worry abt breaking rules....'coz the bank won't let u...
promotions like these....u have to keep the account open for atleast 6 months or so....else they will take back the $100 they gave u plus charge a $30-40 penalty fee.....i suggest just waiting it out... |

I used to work for Bank of America. It's highly unlikely that you'll get away with that. The personal banker who opens your account will see your past history and immediately get suspicious. But, hey... I guess it could be worth a shot! You do take the risk of personal embarrasment, though. |

probably not |

Heck yeah why not? Their the idiots not you. Actually they might have it on file you never do know. |

Even if you cancel your account, your name and info will still be in their records. If they show that you just cancelled your account, I seriously doubt they'd reopen it and give you another hundred bucks. Besides, most of those deals require that you keep the account for a certain length of time, right? |

I would not do it. They could arrest you for fraud. You are only allowed to have one account per name. |

If Bank of America cannot keep track of what they are doing, then hey, go for it. Seems they are not really tracking who has used the coupons or not. |

I wouldn't just give it to a friend at make progit out of it. |

The thing with that is you have to have a balance of a certain amount of money before they give you the $100.00 |
|

I doubt they would let you get away with that, but if you do just open another checking account and use the coupon for that and then close the account. |
