If he's doing this right now, can you only imagine what he'll do when you're into a deeper relationship with him, such as engagement or marriage?
This is a big red flag you should pay great attention to.
-(It doesn't matter if his mother is going to pay it back. But, maybe not. But mostly, if "he's man enough" to have a girlfriend, he should be man enough to pay his own debts and fixing his own problems.
A good man, a man with great intentions towards you, would never do that.)- |

If you give it to him, you should not expect to get it back. If he can't pay his bill, the likelihood that he will be able to give you the money later is slim. If you do this without the expectation of getting it back, you won't be mad at him when he doesn't give it back, but you'll be pleasantly surprised if you do get it back. |

So let's see, this guy is asking his GF to make his car payment and his mom to payback his GF. I hope financial irresponsibility is his biggest weakness. As other posters have already stated if you give it to him it will be an issue of resentment going forward and he will have learned nothing about responsibility. You need to be the one, and possibly the first one ever, to say no to this guy and let him solve the problem on his own as an adult. If you have been with this guy for a long time and want to stay with him you might want to express your concerns about his spending behavior but still help him out somehow. Good luck |

Probably NOT. It's a NICE gesture on YOUR part; but if He bought the truck- then HE "bought" the payments on it- too. And those are HIS Responsibility. (And maybe that's how his mother looks at it also). |
