c_u_b_s_f_a_n_81 | Do you think the US will ever use a currency bigger than the $100 bill (again.)? |

I really don't think so. As a bank teller, I have seen branch traffic decline due to increased usage of debit cards, ATMs, and direct deposits. More and more places (even fast-food restaurants) are accepting plastic and more people are becoming comfortable with using it. $50 can easily last me a month. So, no, I really don't see that happening. |

Depends on inflation... if it gets really high and we start paying ridiculous prices, we'll start seeing $500 bills. However, I doubt that will actually happen, since I think our economy is consumer driven. |

no. the problem of accounting for cash exchange was solved by instituting the money card/debit, and by certificates of deposit. the government can now track money and who spends it on what much easier.i think in the next ten years we'll see a complete erradication of cash, and we'll be in a cashless society. |

Certainly, inflation guarantees it. |

No kidding, we just had this conversation a half hour ago. No, it really isn't necessary for anything larger than a one hundred dollar bill. The larger currency is used for bank transferrals. Besides, who uses cash anymore. We are a society of plastic and cyber transfers. |
