Polly | Does Joing a Sam's Club really save you money? |
It seems to me that the only way I would save money is if I bought alot of processed food like, chips, soda, and other snake food. I dont really buy that stuff. Would I be saving if I my meats, shampoo, fruits, vegetables, etc from them? |

I love our Sam's. It has a gas station too. The gas prices are generally 10 cents less. It pays for the membership in a month. I buy everything else I possibly can there too. Dog food is cheaper by about five dollars every fifty pounds. Shampoo is cheaper and so isn't Tide when you buy it in bulk. I like their grocery section. I am considering buying a small deep freeze so that their frozen food section is more valuable to me too. |

We found some things were less, and some more than the Super Market. Since Sam's has a limited inventory just bring your last shopping receipts and check them against the giant stuff at Sam's.
Also avoid buying stuff you never will need, just because it's cheap, made in China. |

Absolutely! I save a lot of money by buying meats in family sized packages, then putting them into smaller bags and freezing them. I buy pasta in bulk, spices, and canned tomatoes. Even milk is cheaper there. Do it for sure. |

You have to know the price of things. Not everything is a good buy. The big commercial size containers are cheap but if you end up throwing most of it out, it isn't such a good buy. Often the bundle regular sized containers aren't such a good price.
I always bought big tubs of laundry detergent but found paper products were cheaper at Walmart. Cleaning products, shampoo and other toiletries were all much cheaper. |

I think it saves if you have a large family and you need to buy in bulk. It is good for small restaurant owners who need supplies in a hurry. Good for corporations who have cafeterias and need to save money.
If we were all a little bit smarter we would join cooperatives that buy gasoline in bulk and save greatly or other commodities. |

You mainly save on gas, Sams club have their own gas stations. Also, anything you buy in there is very cheap, even meats, so yea, your saving a ton if you go shopping at least once a month. |

I don't know about Sam's Club, but with Costco, I save mega bucks on meat, produce, milk ,and gas. Totally pays for my membership many times over. |

yes you would. even though its a wholesale club, you can still get beauty & cosmetics. Also, you can do the same for both meat & veggies saving you alot of money. |

If you have the room and buy items that are shelf stable or able to be frozen, it's worth it for a family. I buy milk and OJ there as well...it's a lot less then the supermarket. |

It depends how big your family is. They sell a lot of comercial size products. Do you need a commercial size mayonaise? I just go to buy esencials like toilet paper, toothpaste, bounty, shampoo, soap, etc... I dont buy food because it always expire before I even finish it. |
