Places like a corner store, bakeries usually need people and are willing to emply younger people, umm newspaper deliveries (although you have to get up at around 3am for most) just small places like that, if you can get recommendations from teachers/people you know who know how hard working you are it will be easier |

Most states allow you to use a work permit at the age of 14, but there are so many restrictions, most employers won't hire you. Your best bet is to do a paper route. If that doesn't appeal to you, brainstorm for a need in your neighborhood and apply yourself accordingly. Do you have an unknown skill? Mowing lawns, shoveling snow, cleaning an old lady's house, and short term babysitting are great ways for a person your age to make some extra cash, too. By the way, volunteer work for the community can get you tips depending on the work, so keep that in mind too |

Most people as young as yourself usually try to get jobs in retail, like supermarkets, newsagencies, dress shops or jeans outlets. Try applying to different places and persist in your efforts. In Australia the law specifies that a person has to be at least 14 and nine months to be employed, I don't know what the minimum age is in other countries.
It's great that you're interested in working and earning your own income - it will do you a lot of good to learn the value of money and learning about responsibility.
Show them your report card from school and let them know you're a hard worker, show them something about your sporting achievements - everything counts when you are trying to form a positive impression for an employer. Good luck. |

Better yet, learn all you can about entrepreneurship. You can HIRE yourself! I suggest books by Robert Kiyosaki to get you started. Find a need and fill it, and you will be able to make more money than you would at a measly newspaper route. Good luck! |
