I think a good way would be a garage sale, get your other neighbors in on it too and ask if theyll donate either money or items to sale to benefit your neighbor. Car washes usually raise alot of money, if you can get a business to let you use there water and parking lot, get some of your friends or family to help, pass out flyers, signs. etc... Good things usually happen to good people so im sure it will work out. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!! |

You can do a couple different things.Has your friend tried to re-fiance? If you are in the state of california, I know a great morage company that can help and deals with homes in forcloser.
Anyways, you can havea garage sale. Both you and hear clean out our houses, and start selling things you don't need. Sometimes you can make a pretty penny on yard sales. If you have good stuff.
Another thing that you can do is, go to cosco or sams club and buy big boxes of candy they come with like 36 candy bars in them sell them for a dollor my family and I do that all the time to raise money for our family we sell the candies for a dollor and make about 20 profit on each box.
Have a benifit dinner for her. Or acution that goes along witht he yard sale thing though. Have other neighbor and friends, donate things they don't want like jewlery they never wear or other nice things they don't want or need and auction it off.

My church has in the past has let people use the kitchen and tables and things for benefit dinners maybe in your area your church would let you do the same.. don't know if this is an option for you another i just thought of is maybe having a garage sale or maybe Good Luck |

From what you wrote it appears that your neighbor has some fundamental financial issues which are probably ongoing. Are you sure you'll be doing her a favor by giving her a handout? Say, you help her to meet ends today... Are you going to do the same thing tomorrow? Next house payment? Next little emergency?
At some point you will have to decline. This is when that person will start resenting you and blame you for consequences. Even if this is truly a one-time deal, nothing good will ever come out of it.
I've done something similar to what you are planning to do when I was young and stupid, and, believe me, this is the fastest and guaranteed way to turn your friend into a mortal enemy. Friendships and money do not mix.
Sometimes it is best to let people hit the bottom. Hard! It's called tough love. In my experience, the harder they hit, the faster they bounce back if they are smart. Some may even thank you later. |

There are plenty of ways...have a car wash, do lawn work, have garage sales, throw a neighborhood block party and ask for donations, let your local paper know about your neighbor's situation and they may print an article, etc.... |
