Big corporations mostly have corporate giving programs, but they are designed for the "greater good" and not for individual's enrichment purposes such as starting businesses.

Here are some of the big companies' corporate giving programs and their objectives:

Dell Foundation http://www.dell.com/content/topics/global.aspx/corp/foundation/en/index?c=us&l=en&s=corp
Recipients are 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and objective is to address the health and human services, the education, and the technology access for youth.

Microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/citizenship/giving/
Provides support to Community-Based Technology and Learning Center (CTLC) organizations including Nonprofit—in the United States, 501(c)(3) designation—or a nongovernmental organization; Government funded and operated—a nonprofit organization that receives government funding or is a partner with a governmental; and schools.

Philip Morris http://www.philipmorrisusa.com/en/our_initiatives/community_involvement.asp
Provides financial and in-kind contributions to local organizations, and through sponsorship of community events. Again, applicants must be non-profit, charitable organizations tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The story is the same for other corporations - their gift giving program focuses on the community, on non profits, and NOT on individuals.

Better yet, name any company you can think of . . .

The answer is probably yes:

McDonalds
Walmart
Krispy Kreme
and about 10,000 plus more companies

bumblebee
Ben and Jerry's does...they support the environment and other organizations...

Lots of companies donate to charity. EBay was the first to jump in when Katrina struck with a Red Cross donation of $250,000.
Watch Public Television (PBS) and you will find a mass of companies and corporations which donate to many worthy causes and completely financially support some of them. Jot down the names and contact them with your ideas. You may also look through a some professional business publications as well as charitables. Many are sold over the counter and most are available online. Good luck.

Most companies donate one way or another. You need to find the person who makes those decisions within the company. Also, it is much easier to get an in-kind domation than a cash donation.

My company " Impressions Unlimited does.
There are all kinds of things you can do do you can actually donate more then a set number of times during the year depending on if your company ( internet wise) is also connected to .org statues

Most successful companies, you just need to asked to be sponsored init?

I want my ¡OLD! mtv
All companies usually have some sort of public relations like several local businesses in my area sponsor youth sports teams like restruants and even a trading card place. Public relations is critical for businesses to remain or become successful because without it they wouldn't have a good name for themselves.

I run a fastpitch softball organization based in Raleigh, NC. We have 5 teams from the ages of 10u-18u. Our main goal is to develop young girls by teaching life skills through softball. At the 18u level our focus is getting the players to college and creating the potential for them to receive scholarships to go to college. The problem we run into is that a lot of companies will not donate to us because we are not a non-profit organization. The organization is a sub-Chapter S. We are not allowed to be a non-profit organization because we host tryouts and do not necessarily allow anybody who wants to to play for the organization. We have to host tryouts because we cannot keep all the people who are interested just because you can only have so many on players on a team. Myself, and my coaches are all volunteers, we do not get paid to donate our time and effort to the organization. We rely on the families involved, small fundraisers, and the small amount of donations we do get for businesses. We provide advertising on our website for the businesses who donate so they can write off the donation as an advertising expense. To get the best scholarship opportunities and increase the amounts for players we have to travel to large showcase tournaments all across the country. It is very costly of course to do this for the families involved and to keep the organization a float. All of our expenses go up yearly, but it's hard for a lot of the parents to keep up and pay for this, and players aren't able to participate due to this all the time. We provide the opportunity for players to try and fund their college tuitions with scholarships due to softball and academics. We monitor our players GPA's, SAT/ACT scores, and push them to excel in the classroom as well. If a player isn't making it in the classroom, then they're not going to make it in softball, and have a harder life in return. Since most corporations flat out won't donate to organizations are not profit, it does make it hard to raise money. There are a lot of good non-profits out there and that do help people, but it's frustrating to know that large corporations donate to non-profits that have people running them making millions a dollars a year. I understand the whole principle of writing off for tax purposes, but it would be nice to find a corporation that would donate money for the actual benefit of helping a youth organization and not just because it's good publicity and/or tax write off.
