Does anyone know how a 15 year old can make money?

Where i Live No one is trusted, alot of mexicans are around and they cut all the grasses, and ignorant people wont let a 15 yr old do any handyman work.. wut can i possibly do to earn some money.. and i have applied at publix and winndixie 454 times.

Whenever you apply make sure you are going back in to "check on your ap." Managers want to know that your are serious and really want the job. :)

Scan ebay with intensity. Figure out what you have readily available or can create to sell.

What do you know well? Have a local shop that sells things seriously underpriced - like comics, old books, etc? Scope it out, look the up on ebay, and see what the price difference is. The range is unlimited. It doesnt have to be somthing that you personally like - just find what is cheaply available in your area and sell it better. You would be suprised what people in other states and countries will pay for regional this and that. It takes time to really build up the cash, but be a good seller, research your stuff, and you will do well. Ask your parents what your region is known for, and sell it as "authentic". You will also need them to be the "official" seller, as you must be 18, but I have purchased there from teen sellers, with parental support, and paid heavily - and been very happy with my items.

If you live in an area that is not EXTREMELY rural, you probably have a town or city Youth Commission or something likewise named. It's their job to help you "bored" youths not vandalize stuff (yeah, just go with it ;) ), and you should call them, tell them you are a hard worker and want a job. If they brush you off, be hardcore persistent, even get your parents on them. Sadly, sometimes its the only thing that works.

BTW, I had my own business website done by a 16 year old that was the brother of a friend (non-USA though). Not because he was the brother of a friend, but because he honestly presented the best site preview and skills. I paid him equal the fair rate that was the middle of all of my other estimates, possibly more than his parents combined make for the few hours that it probably took him. I know Dreamweaver, Flash, and of course html, but he blew me away with his fresh vision, creativity, dedication to the job, and the fact that I knew there were no other clients to distract him because of his age (he now has several others). I now advise other agents in my field to consider hiring professionally their friends kids as the first choice to do their sites because you all know cutting edge and the latest programs (or so our school taxes say...). FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU ARE BEST AT AND USE IT!

Get a working permit, your school should be able to get one for you and apply at publix and winndixie again.

Have you considered a paper route?

Learn a good trade, like computer repair, spend a summer learning the in's and outs and be the neighborhood IT kid, then you can go around fixing peoples computers... That's what I did when I was 14-15. Learned how to do websites, they were rudimentary at the time but hey I eventually had 2 clients and well for that age I was making decent money.

Good books and resources to look at? Check out A+ certification books.

You might think it's a bit over your head, but apply yourself (if it ineterests you).

If you are honest with others about WHY you want to earn money (help your folks out by: buying your own clothes, saving toward a new family car, etc) then you will have better luck getting the emotions of others involved. Sell candy door to door. "Hi, I'm Cleadis, and I'm trying to raise money so I can build on my work experience. I have (list your varieties) available. Would you be interested in helping me out?"

Use the same pitch to offer lawn care, car washes, poop pick up, window cleaning, etc.

Get a work permit. Many companies out there will hire if you have one. Try putting fliers up to walk dogs, wash dogs, babysit, tutor younger kids. A lot of people are just happy to see young people taking an initiative and trying to make money and will hire you just because of that. Whenever I have a kids show up at my door asking if they can mow my yard I say sure even if I just did it because it's nice to see teens making their own money. Good luck!

I suggest giving out the Pennypower newspaper

i would wait about a year or 2 so you could get a real job like burgerking or mcdonalds or if your really desperate i would rake leaves or have a fake charity for the poor and pocket the money.

try applying for small jobs around your house. or ask neighbors if they need their lawn moed, or snow shovled, say your trying to earn money. or make stuff and sell it door to door. have a bake sale, yard sale, theres a lot of ways.
