We have a bank here, where I'm from but I"m not sure if its a national chain but they will give people with, low/bad credit scores loans--they make you jump through lots of hoops like--you have to take a credit counseling class--they will deduct the payment directly from your paycheck--and lots of other red tape but you can get the loan. |

It really depends on how much you are asking for. But www.prosper.com is a site that you can get a loan, even with bad credit. Although from what I have seen lately, they have tightened up a bit. If you have a home, and a job, you could pull from the equity of your home. But, even that, depending on your credit score may be impossible to do as well.
Really.. You need to work on your credit. Getting another loan may not be the best way to handle your problems currently. Perhaps you need to instead work with a reputable credit counseling service and have them reduce your monthly payments to any cards that you have and help you start getting your credit back to where it should be.
If it is an emergency loan, you could use items that have value , like a car or furniture or equipment that you own currently. This could be used to secure the loan.
And I do agree with USM987 here, that you should not use any of the payday loan centers. They may give you the money you need, but you will be paying for it out your ahhh.. lets just say rear :). |

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.
I will hereby talk from my personal experience.
I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

Payday loans are a good choice.(Short-term) If you can get in and get out. (This would NOTbe a good choice if borrowing enough to buy a car) The intrest rate is not 500% It's more like 388%. It is only that high, because the fee of a payday loan let say $15 per 50. the more you borrow this fee goes up. The math work just works out, that way. You only get screwed if you bite more than you can chew.

Individuals borrow and lend money thorugh the site. Credit history is checked, but people will less than stellar credit will have better luck here than from banks.
DO NOT seek out payday loans. They are predatory lenders that will charge you upwards of 500% in interest. They can create a vicious cycle that can create more debt than you originally had. |
