Hey guys, I'm a bit perplexed about this cash back phenomenon. My bff claims that if I hit the "cash back" option on the debit machine, I can get any amount of money I want in cash. When I asked her where the money comes from, she said that it comes from the cashiers pockets and not from my account. I'm so confused about this cash back crap. Whoever knew that "cash back" would be so d*m complicated. |

If you hit the cash back button, they charge your account however much you want back. Its just like being at an ATM, except there arent any fees. Usually they take the money out of the register, so unless she was at a bar, I don't know why the cashier would take it out of their pocket.
If you buy something for $2.13, and get $10 cash back, your account will be charged $12.13. Its just like going to the bank, but adding a middle man. |

Well, your BFF is giving you BS. It really does give you cash back but make sure you bring a bucket with you because it's like a slot machine in the casinos. . .They only dispense cash in quarters. One time at band camp, I accidentally hit the cash back of $100, and I had fill my instrument case with all the quarters! It was insane! |
