Does using my debt card establish credit?
When I use my debit card as a credit card (sign for it and dont enter my pin number) does that establish credit?

No, it doesn't unfortunately. Because you're not paying back anything. You're using money that you already have to pay it. But I did find this prepaid card called ultra VX Visa, that has combined the features of a secured credit card that builds credit and a prepaid Visa card, check it out! I posted the link below.

Hope that helps!

no, but if you are in need of establishing credit prepaid credit cards do (and anyone can get one).

not a bit.

No... Too establish credit, you pay bills, like phone, cable, electric, water, house payment, and things like that. The more bills that you pay on time the better the credit score you will have.

ALFimzadi
No. It used to be that having a bank account would help your credit, like when it first become popular. But now, the bank only reports your account if you are negative and don't pay. Your best option for building credit is to see if you qualify for a small limit credit card, or take out a secured loan from your bank, like a CD loan, where the bank puts the funds from the loan in a CD, so that you build credit but you aren't paying off a loan.

No, hence why it is just a DEBIT card. It will not go through if you do not have enough money on it for what you are purchasing.

CAT
No, only through your bank.

Why Do I Have To Wear Clothes...

No. Debit cards are like a check book. Credit cards on the other hand will establish credit... If used properly.

no, debit cards don't report to the credit bureaus.

slightly, but applying for a credit card from the bank that you have the debit card from is a good idea.

Me
thats a good question. I assume so.
