I try to save it, not spend it... I can do this now thanks to job #2... having room mates to share bills helps too.

No paycheck, no bills. Life's great

Yes. Some goes into a retirement account automatically, and some goes into my savings account automatically (usually used for vacations and furniture). The rest I spend.

My paycheck covers everything: all bills, 401k, stocks, savings, living. And what I have leftover at the next paycheck, I transfer over to my liquid savings account.

This didn't happen overnight. I have a very good paying job (I job hop to get the $10K increases every two years or so), I manage my credit cards responsibly (I swear by balance transfers), and I find different ways to save money.

socialnormssuck
Yes, about 1K after bills because I have no kids (main reason) and live a simple life. About $500.00 goes into brokerage, $400 savings at emigrantdirect.com and $100.00 for myself.

i sure do not save it because the first bill i pay is to my self and it goes in to savings --- so i go out to have fun and games!!!

I wish. I got a good check for first time since June. I have $5 spending money leftover. Think I'll eat lunch at Mc Donald's and buy a twelve pack of Shasta.
