You cancel their bid, and end the auction early......Its the only way...
You'll be out your insertion fees... but whats 35 cents??....
If the auction is already over... yer screwed... |

On the drop down menu next to the item you can select "End Item Early" Some people do this because they have sold the item locally. You can do it that way then relist it. You will have to pay for the original listing fee however! |

You can end the auction early:
Ending Your Listing Early

Reasons for ending a listing early
Requirements
How to end a listing
If you can’t end the listing
In some cases, you might find that you need to end a listing early. For example, you might discover that the item you are selling doesn’t work or is missing a part.
Before ending a listing:
Make sure than you have a valid reason for ending the listing.
Check that you meet the requirements for ending the listing. If there are 12 hours or less before the end of the listing, restrictions apply.
Reasons for ending a listing early
When you end a listing early or make other last-minute changes, buyers may feel disappointed. However, sometimes there is a valid reason why you need to end a listing early.
Reason
What to do
The item is lost, broken, or otherwise no longer available for sale.
As soon as you notice a problem, try to end the listing.
You made a mistake when entering the listing, starting price, or reserve amount.
Consider changing the listing or adding to the item’s description, rather than ending it. Learn more the requirements and steps for changing a listing.
If this doesn’t work, try to end the listing.
Requirements
Your ability to end a listing early depends on the amount of time remaining in the listing and whether the listing has received any bids.
If there are 12 hours or more before the end of the listing, you can end the listing early without restrictions. If there are any bids on your item when you end the listing, you’ll be asked whether you want to cancel the bids or sell the item to the high bidder.
If there are 12 hours or less before the end of the listing, your ability to end the listing early depends on whether there are any bids on the item and whether the item has a reserve price.
Number of bids on the item
Can the listing be ended early?
No bids
Yes
One or more bids
Yes, but you must sell the item to the high bidder.
One or more bids, but the item’s reserve price wasn’t met
No
How to end a listing
To end a listing early:
Type your item number into the End My Listing Early form. The item number is shown on your listing, confirmation email, and My eBay page.
If there are bids on your item, choose how you want to end your listing. Otherwise, skip this step.
If there are 12 hours or more before the end of the listing, choose whether “Cancel bids and end listing early” or “Sell item to high bidder.”
If there are 12 hours or less before the end of the listing, your only option is to “Sell item to high bidder.”
Select the reason you're ending your listing early.
Your listing will end and will no longer be active on eBay. Bidders who didn’t win the listing receive an email that their bid was canceled and that the listing ended early.
If you can’t end the listing
If you don’t meet the requirements for ending the listing early, your best recourse is to communicate with the bidders.
Before the listing ends: Contact the bidders, explain the situation, and encourage them to retract their bids. Alternatively, you can cancel their bids.
If the listing ends and there is a winning bidder: Contact the bidder and explain the situation. If you and the bidder agree to not complete the sale, you can file an unpaid item dispute and indicate that “We have agreed not to complete the transaction.” The bidder will be notified and can confirm the agreement.
The fine print
Your account will still be charged listing fees (such as the insertion fee) if you end your listing early. Consider revising your listing first if there are aspects of it you want to change or improve.
Sellers are not permitted to cancel bids and end listings early in order to avoid selling an item that did not meet the desired sale price. This is considered to be reserve fee circumvention. Although there are legitimate reasons for ending a listing early, abuse of this option will be investigated.
eBay Motors allows sellers to end their listing early and cancel all bids by sending a Transaction Confirmation Request to the buyer. |

what?
 |
log in and go to the ebay homepage.
in the top right corner there's a link for the site map.
in the middle column, there's a heading called "Selling Activities".
the 6th option down is "End Your Listing"
just click on that, and fill out the form as prompted.
you can then re-list the item. |

try going on and taking it off so no one can bid and then re do the whole thing and put the right price |
|

Megan
|
Cancel the item and then send a message to the person who bidded on it and explain to them the situation. |
|

TrustMe
|
get a TRUSTED friend/ family member to put bid on it at the lowest price you would accept for it. If they ended up winning just give them the money that they would have to give you, you both end up equal, no worries :D xXx |

One approach that might work (although it violates eBay's rules) is to create another eBay account and bid $0.01 less than whatever the price should be; either you win (and buy it from yourself) or someone outbids you (and pays the right price).
The correct answer is to use "End Item Early" to end the auction, and then relist the item at the correct price. |

You can't
You put it up there for that price, and that is what it is going to sell for....tough luck.
That happened to me once.....I had a friend of mine place a bid on that item for the price I wanted it at. Another person beat that price so the item sold. But if no one bids more on it you are stuck paying the listing and final amount cost.
Tough Luck! |

There's really nothing u can do, you can refuse to sell it and take a negative feedback, try to explain to the person and hope they're understanding, or sell it for the cheap price. |
|

Feeling Fine in 2009!
 |
After someone bids you can't make any changes. I think you're stuck selling it for that price. Always double check before you finalize. |
|

Mike K
 |
unfortunately you're a bit stuck
one otpion is to create a new account or use a friend/family members and just up bid on the item until its at the price you wanted to start at.
That way even if it doesnt work out, you're simply paying yourself(plus a lil tax) and dont lose anything. |
|

Gordon

There should be an option to cancel his bid.
What are you selling? If it is a popular item, I wouldn't worry because many people should bid on the item and it should be raised near the average price that item is selling for...this doesn't usually happen until the last hours though.
If you are still concerned, have a friend bid on it for you and just not have them pay. This isn't allowed but if it eases your conscience, do what you have to do. |

you can't.. ha ha. you can only hope some other person wants it bad enough to bring the bid to an appropriate level. |

Just ell him there has been a f u c k-up and that the price was supposed to be higher and if he'd be willing to buy it @ that price.
If he says yes you're in hte clear if he says no you're f u c ked UNLESS you want to lose "trust-points', or whtever the f u c k they call them, with ebay. |
