Contact the REAL ebay at their site, not the site in any email you are sent. About twice a month, I get a letter that looks like it's really from ebay, but when you look in the 'header details' it's not from ebay, it's a scam. People forge email addresses to get your private information. |

When you sign into eBay it should say your account is suspended. If they are asking for a Utility bill, driver's license, etc they are asking to have you prove your identity. This is not happening because you are selling a car. You should have received an email in regards to why you are suspended. Sending this information into eBay is how you can get your account reinstated. There may be something about the history of the car that has them concerned, so just send them proof that you own it. Once this is done you should be able to list on the site again. |

Agree with all the previous answers suggesting you contact e-bay (via their website, not a link in any e-mails you have been sent). Their Trust & Safety section should be able to help - or check the 'Messages' link on My e-bay. |

You have probably had your identity "stolen", and someone is using your name and address to illegally carry on business on eBay. Rather than be a total plonker who runs around shouting "It's totally stupid!", I would suggest you freeze ALL your financial transactions and call the credit agencies while your telephone is still connected! |

That sounds like a scam off teh top of my head I can't even think of 10 bills in my and my husbands name combind!
water, electric, phone, council tax....ummmmm...oh bank statement. and that's it. I have pay slips but that's not a bill
I'd contact ebay and see what they say but ensure the contact details are from teh website not the Email or whatever they sent you to err on the side of caution |

I wouldn't do anything unless you are sure the correspondence is from ebay. Internet fraud abounds - recently I have received three different emails from the "IRS" saying I had a refund coming. They wanted my SS # and credit card information. All three "refunds" were different amounts.
I've received emails from "ebay" and from " paypal" that I know are fraudulent.
If the emails are legit and are truly from ebay, I would try to look at the other side of the coin. They are trying to protect you. If the email is really from ebay, you will probably have to comply with their requests in order to get your account reinstated. |

Open a new account with a different password and a different user name, if you have more than one e-mail address, use a different e-mail address from the one that you use before, that should do it. |

Since you are this concerned, I would recommend talking to a person. Call the eBay support number. Someone should be able to tell you what's going on. |
