is Paypal a safe method (for the seller) for receiving money? Can anyone advise on this - are payments guaranteed and cleared once in your account etc? Have there been any issues with internet security with bank accounts details being available etc? |

I think Paypal is very safe. I've been using it for years. The only thing is it takes time for certain options to clear. And getting your money off paypal takes a few business days to clear too. That's the only downfall - and the fees - but that's not so bad especially when you compare it to waiting for a check!
I think it's a great way to receive money and send money. I wish more places took it!! |

Paypal is by far one of the safest methods for banking online. i have received money on countless occasions and transferred to my account with no problem. |

You asked the right person! I have been selling on ebay for 9 years (barkeep77) and (poursoule) and have always had a paypal account. it is very safe and once the money is in it is in. they also provide the shipping address and details at no extra charge. I have never had an incident where my account was comprimised in 9 years. now for the bad. there seems to be a glitch selling to canada, they can request a refund and paypal automatically gives it to them, deducting it from your account, with out every recieving the item back. I refuse to sell to canada, or anywhere overseas as well for that matter. the rules of paypal are not like a bank, they charge a percentage of the transaction, not bad if you ask me, and you can only withdraw electronically $500 a month into your checking account BUT you can always use the ATM if you need more OR use your paypal card as a credit card which I do all the time. good luck! |

With pay pal you will get your money... one way or another. They are very good at resolving issues between sellers and buyers. If a buyer doesn't pay for an item on EBay, EBay will let you re list it for no additional fees. The buyer does not see any of your bank account information. The money is electronically taken from their bank account and deposited into yours. There are other ways as well, they can send you checks in the mail. Just don't send the item until the check has cleared. |

yes, paypal is VERY safe.
payments are sent to your paypal account, and you can transfer them to your bank account immediatly. The transfer takes about 2-3 days (but thats bank policy, not paypal).
In addition, If you pay for an item on ebay with paypal, and the item doesn't come, turns out to be fake, stolen, not functional. Paypal will solve the dispute with the seller. If the seller somehow avoids this, then Paypal refunds your money. I have used this a few times, and they are very customer oriented. |

i dont thnk it is but i will let u be the one to tell me ok my hubby put 200 dollers in it and didi not mess with it coz we were going to get some parts for the car off of it right and then day we went to use it we had like 30 dollers left adn they charge u for using it to just ot u knwo |
