It could be that your card had expired, this happened to me the other week!! Call the bank, thats all you can do for now. |

Did you have a question or are you just letting us know how your most recent ATM experience went.
Call your bank and report what happened. They'll issue you a new card and cancel the old one. It might have kept the card because you entered the wrong PIN too many times.
Or the machine might have been broken.
Either way, call your bank immediately just in case it spit the card out later and someone tries to use it. |

Did your card have a chip in it for chip and pin?? If so UK banks have just introduced new security measures on their ATMs to prevent fraud. If the ATM fails to read the chip properly it assumes that it's a fraudulent card. It's a major problem just now, and means that normal functioning cards are being swallowed for no reason |

Did you get the cash? Call your bank and report it. If the machine malfunctioned, your card will still be in it. If by chance it spit it back at ehe next customer that used the machine, I think your still okay, because you need the pin to use the card. The back will either send you back your card or issue you a new one. |

don't worry about it provided you had this happen at a real bank machine not one of the private ones .
asap talk to the bank
if its in one of the private machines i don't know it you have them there but if its in one of them i would call the bank head office even if it was not banking hours there must be a line to report the card lost or stolen . |

Maybe there was a fault with the machine it happens. Contact your bank.
They will post the card back to you. |

go inside the bank and tell the person what happen if bank close call the bank customer service and ask for help |

Most banks have a telephone where you can pick up the phone and speak with an attendant if there is a problem with your transaction. |

Faulty machine, wrong PIN too many times, not enough funds (maybe a cheque or a direct debit you forgot about has been taken out). My card was taken and it took seven working days to get it back! Saturday and Sunday are not included! |

There only has to be a scratch going through the magnetic strip on your card and it will assume its damage and keep it...
Or did you enter you pin number wrong, lots of reasons why it was kept, it does not have to be about your account necessary
Phone the bank and they will re- issue a new card it may take 7 - 10 day though OWCH |

that happened to me but it was because my I.D. was stuck to the credit card and it got jammed in the machine. Had to go to the bank the next day and get it back. Check your wallet and see if any cards are missing. |

I used to work at a bank so I know that AT M's keep cards sometimes. When someone with a really cracked or broken card put their card in the ATM it gets stuck down there and jams the cards so it will keep all cards after this transaction until the machine is fixed. One time I saw about 20 cards that were kept. |
