Most people become exceedingly rich by:
1. Inheriting it - the old fashioned way.
2. Have rare talent - whether it is acting, singing, pro sports, trading, business, the person is in the top 1/2 percent of their profession worldwide.
3. Their own business - the majority of "normal" people that achieve ultra-wealth status built a business from the ground up
4. Luck - lottery, very early employee in very successful company (think Google or Microsoft), etc. |

Most work very long hours for a very long time. Unless you happen to be a great sports or movie star, you'll make that kind of money only by rising to the top of a large company. That will typically entail working 16 hours a day, at least six days a week, for many years. You also have to have the business talent to get you to that level. |

I did it through hard work and saving until it hurt and smart investments. Now, if you want an inspirational success story, watch "The Pursuit of Happyness". You can have wealth and happiness, but you have to work for it. Unfortunately, it's true what they say that you have to have money to make money. Very rich people either worked hard to make their money or they inherited it. There are no true "get rich quick" schemes. Either you are blessed with it, have a talent that earns it, or you worked your behind off for it. |

I have to agree with Terry. Work very hard and live well within your means.
If you haven't started saving, do it tomorrow. Open an retirement account at Fidelity or Vanguard or the like. Invest into a stock fund(s). Have money deposited directly to that account from you paycheck/employer. Do this even when the market is down. Talk to Vanguard about "dollar cost averaging."
You may or may not end up filthy rich, but you will retire very comfortably.

Some rich people Inherit all they have and those are the snobby ones that dont have any people skills and are always angry at the world...
The others are the ones that work for everything that they have and built a company etc.... they are usually nice...
They get rich by building a company and selling it, investing in stock, working for 50 years and invested in real estate and are now reaping the benefits.....there are all sorts of ways to get rich....
I suggest, starting a business and just making sure you do well and someone will want to buy it..... |
