It appears that you may be eligible for Food Stamps. Based on the information you provided, you may be eligible for between $145 to $155 in Food Stamps per month. You may also be elgigle for Cash assistance which doesn't have the limitations of food stamps. Also you may be able to get section 8 rent assistance.Check with your local Welfare office, Sometimes refered as SRS Social and rehabatation services in your area and they will assist you. The link is a food stamp elgibility calculater.

doubt it, unless you have a bunch of kids, or a brain tumor.. you can try though by calling the state gov. office, they'll tell you where to go and fill out some forms. Look in the phone book.

Go to the county welfare office and apply.

Emily
google it and apply for it and welfare.

Without any dependants your food stamps would be limited to 3 months in my state but each one is different. You may qualify you have to apply because there are many factors. And if you rent a room they will tell you ,you have to store and prepare your food seperatley from your roommate. If you have a car they want to know how much it's worth. If its worth too much they may tell you to sell it. Maybe a better option would be to get a better job or work more. If you don't work full time they will make you get a full time job or cut you off.

If you are 20, you would have to be working at least 20 hours per week in order to not have the benefits time limited (where you would receive only three full months of benefits, and not be able to reapply for three years, unless you had a child, or started working at least 20 hours per week, or became disabled).

Yes, income wise, you'd likely be eligible- at least for three months.

Another thing is if you became certified for food stamps, you'd likely be registered with your local workforce office in order to get assistance in finding a better job.

it all depends on the state you live in. in maine you have to be a woman with children or if a man, be in college and also work at least 20 hours, or a family with children of course. it all depends i guess. i have seen men here in maine who were working jobs and were perfectly fine with no dependants at all and getting food stamps. it's always worth a try if you wanna take that route.

You would probably get some, not much though, they would want you to work full time....If you have a kid though, then you would definetly get ALOT more....

I beleive that you are eligible, I'm trying to receive some of those stamps too. As long as you are only trying to get food stamps they shouldn't deny you. Go to your local Family Independence Agency. I think they have a new name for the place too.

Maybe the food line at your local church.

If you're on wel-fare, how in the hell are you on the computer which would bring me to my next question as to why I have to spend MY tax dollars on your kids if you have any. It also varies in different states. Where I live, you can't have foodstamps if you don't have a child. We care about the children, but we don't give a crap about the adults as they should support themselves before they bring children into this world.

I'm not really sure but you can look it up on the internet

Food Stamps are a USDA program. It a federal funded program. I'm a farmer and look up on Internet write United States Dept. Of Agriculture. from that website follow the instructions on how to go about food stamps.

call afdc...they will set up appointment get ur paperwork together and you will find out..they will ask u why you don't work fulltime...the most u might get is like 200 a month that is all
good luck i really hope you do get em if u need them...been there done that! also one thing that might be good is most churches have food banks call a few churches and see who has them...its free and you will come out with a few bags of groceries...its really tough...when funds are low...i can relate:) wishing u the best

You probably wouldnt get them because you have no children, and you have a job, if you either had children/child or were unemployed then you would get them, but also if you have a car, checking/savings account or own any property that is also considered having assets and they will tell you to sell that stuff.

Apply for welfare.

Instead of getting a government handout, how about getting a part time job, better job or even a roommate. Basing by how much you get paid, it doesn't sound like you get much hourly, or you don't work full time.
You should also consider getting an education, because life doesn't get any easier...GOOD LUCK!!!
