My boss once got an email to this effect with a phone number to call so that he could give his bank details over the phone so that they could transfer the money. He called them up pretending to be really excited and acting dopey. He kept this foreign guy on the phone for a couple of minutes, then put on a serious voice and told him that he had made the mistake of trying to scam the director of a security firm (true), and that the call had been traced and the relevant authorities were being notified (false - obviously!). He then swore at him a few times and put the phone down.....hmmm not productive perhaps but fun!! |

From what you mention, it is confirmed to be scammed. They normally want you to send some money inorder to recieve more money from them.
This scam had been highlighted in newspaper and various web forum before. I suggest that you just ignore it.
Don't fall into their trap. |
