Forgotton pin number for a hsbc account?
I need to withdraw money and have forgotton my pin. Is there a facility on the atm machines that enable you to change your pin or do you have to have a new one sent one to you????

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Duffy D
you can go to your nearest hsbc branch and have your PIN number reset and change to whichever you want. Thats the only fastest way.

Another way is to call them to request a pin number sent to you by mail, maybe take 2-5 days.

and no, you can't change it in the atm, cuz if you lose your card, people can change the pin and take money out... so it doesn't work that way.

hope this helps, DUFFY

You will need to get a new one sent to you. In the interim you'll have to go into the branch with your card to withdraw your money.

You need to contact them to reset your pin. Can't be done at the ATM. By internet or phone.

bikerchris
No there isn't - bit of a security issue otherwise.

I would suggest taking your chequebook to your bank and cashing a cheque - shouldn't cost a penny.

derek b
You need pin to change number at atm so you will have to get one sent to you.
Good luck.

Dj Paul B
How on gods earth did you forget your pin? Its only 4 numbers,i suggest that you notify the bank and they will have to send you another

Shouldn't you either, a) ring them up b) go to the hsbc and ask for a new pin.
