you can't get away from having another credit check done, it takes a couple of mintues for them to pull up your credit record, Today only a few clicks of the mouse and they have all your info thats at the credit bureau. you can allways go to a loan shark, most pond shops will loan you money, but be prepaired to pay high interest rates, and by all means don't miss a payment. That's for here in canada not sure where you are located. also if you have items of value you can borrow money against them, let's say you own a 5000.00$ watch, you take it to the pond shop and they would loan you 20% of the value and all you have to do is pay them a few percent a month back untill your ready to pay back the full amount. |

Any financial institution that you apply for a loan at will do a credit check even if you're already a customer. They want to make sure that you are paying your bills on time, otherwise why give you a loan if you can't pay it? |

i work in a bank so can answer this!! to take out any loan or credit card, no matter if you have products with them you will always have to be credit scored, credit scoring is where they check if you have defaulted on any payments with them or had charges etc, and credit referencing (which isnt always neccessary if you already have accounts and use them well) is when they check all your credit history... everytime you do this it comes up on your credit score as a new check and if you have a bad credit score, the more you try to take out things, the lower it gets!! |

The first answer is correct. If you apply for a credit limit increase on a credit card, an additional amount on your existing overdraft, or fo a top up an an existing loan, the credit company will do another credit check.
This is to see if your current existing debts are being managed well. This is a requirement. If a creditor did not do this, it could be classified as irresponsible lending by the FSA (Financial Services Authority). |

If you have already a loan from same company then credit check is not applicable. But from other company its required. So if you not want to recheck your credit then take another loan from same company.
some company who can't check your credit history without your permission. its check it after the all other work have done and when the loan amount is approved.
