Next, talk with the credit card company to get them to stop the interest. Then sign up for the payment protection plan. It's usually $1 for every $100 owed. This will stop the interest on the card if you lose your job, or are out of work for any reason. It will save your credit. STOP USING YOUR CREDIT CARDS. I understand that you are in dire straits right now, but buying groceries on a credit card is the worst thing you can do to yourself right now. Next, call the cell phone company and turn the phone off. You don't need it. It's going to turn into a collection if you don't pay it right away, and you definitely don't need that on your credit history. Now, go to a temp agency, fill out the necessary paperwork and have them put you in a job - any job - until you can get back on track with whatever you want to do for a career. Depending on where you live, you should be able to make everything right within the next couple of months. Do not be picky when it comes to employment. Work anywhere that is willing to hire you, and remember, it's ok to look for another job while you are employed somewhere. So if you get a job at McDonald's and you find another job somewhere else that pays better, take the other job. Heck, work them both and get out of the hole, and then quit the one you hate. Yeah, you are in a tough spot, but communication is the key. Contact all parties and explain you plight. Then you need to look for quick work near where you live to save on the gas expense. I've been there too and it can be extremely stressful. But it will pass... |
