they are appearing from every bank at the moment. Some claim it is a customer declaration form which must be completed in order to continue on line banking due to a change in the data protection law, load of crap.
No bank would every ask you for a/c, pins numbers etc either by phone, e mail or post, ask yourself why would they need to, they have all but you pin number(which you should never give to anyone) Don't ever reply to these scams. I work in the industry and see the damage and heartache these scammers can bring. |

Your bank will NEVER email you. They will contact you via post.
I haven't had an email so far from these fraudsters, but know someone who did, and responded. Big mistake! |

I get quite a few e-mails allegedly from banks. I report them as phishing through my anti-virus, and also to those banks with which I hold accounts. |

I got one, and I have been in NZ for 15 months - and I've never banked with them! Definitely dodgy.
I also replied calling them some choice names !!!! and advised that this had been passed to the police to hopefully **** them up a bit! |

Probably everybody who has an e-mail address has received this e-mail, which of course was not from NatWest.
That bank probably know who their customers are, and certainly, as with other banks, they will never send out e-mails addressed to 'Dear Customer' or whatever, and they certainly will never ask for account details: they already have those details on file.
Delete this vicious e-mail immediately if you get one (and wonder why if you don't?).
I have never had an account with NatWest, but received one of these e-mails. |

I've had emails from NatWest, LloydsTSB, Egg and Nationwide over the last few weeks.
I don't bank with any of them!
The recommendation from all banks is that you never click on a link from an email, but type in the home page address of your bank, to sign in with your account.
EDIT: lol mo3_lys I have done the same, I put comments about them being stupid criminals and that I wouldn't fall for their c**p. I don't suppose it made any difference but I felt better for doing it! |

I recieved one the other week, and wasn't convinced it was genuine, as I don't do online banking. I erased mine, and maybe should have done the same as you and reported it. But thanks for confirming. |
