I just spoke to a person from IRS and she says that the only people that will receive it before 5/2 are the people that filed by 1040 EZ . Everybody else will be the same as the regular shedule. |

Nope, haven't gotten mines either. I also did drect deposit on my returns. They have a schedule that goes by the last two digits of your SSN. Looks like im in the first set, but still nothing yet. Guess its just a waiting game now.
It would definitely help with bills and expenses, also with GAS prices these days! |

I did file early and did file direct deposit and I still have not received mine. I do have dependents though and used a standard 1040, not ez. I guess we'll see friday. If anyone else gets theirs, please post how you filed and if you have dependents. I'm wondering if that matters. |

I'm really confused...we filed 1040ez with no dependants & direct deposit but we havent seen anything in the bank yet. the last 2 of ssn are 76 though. so im guessing ours will just be sometime the week of may 16. i think they must only be sending out the ones that were already due for this friday early. because on the irs website it still has the old schedule. so who knows?? they shouldnt have even said they were sending them early..just confused everyone!! |

I just spoke with an IRS representative. He has not been given a new schedule to reflect the early deposit of checks. He said to his understanding, we will still be getting the checks on the dates posted on the website. He also said he believes the early checks being deposited are not going by SS#, but instead by what type of form was filed. He believes those that filed 1040ez, with no dependents, will be getting their checks early, and the rest will stay on the same schedule. Whether you can assume he knows what he is talking about is up to you! |

Nope - now Wed and #'s are 14 and still no dd - checking every day . . . and no dd tomorrow, so Friday - I wish they wouldn't have told us about the earlier deposits that no one seems to have gotten |

Hello:
I did contact the IRS and I was told that if you did not receive a direct deposit on Monday 04/28/04 that you would have to wait the assigned date for your direct deposit rebate. People who did not file early and did not use direct deposit for their tax refund were not going to receive an early deposit.
The early desposit thing was probably done more as a publicity stunt. I am scheduled to receive my direct deposit on May 2, but I filed a regular 1040 not the EZ so apparently I did not qualify for the early deposit. You figured that they would have put up a new schedule for the early deposit but they did not. |

NO, I sure would like to know when it's coming. Since the IRS is doing this early they haven't changed the date on they web site. So I'm still clueless. When is it going to be deposited? |
