No.
It's a scam. Definitely. Don't give out any information.
Do you seriously think that some random person would send you an email telling you to go and pick up a good amount of money?
Heck, if I was those people, I'd keep it!! |

Yes,I receive those nearly once a week. It is actually fairly well known. In fact, there is an episode of Malcolm in the Middle where Reece references a Nigerian General and a business deal. |

$800K??? Is that all? I'm always getting the good ones, like 15 million and such. Funny thing, though...every time I email them back and tell 'em I'll think about it for $50,000 (minimum), I never hear from 'em again. |

Yes, and all you need to do is deposit a $5,000 check for them and wire $4,900 of it back. So when you deposit the check, it takes a couple of days to figure out that it bounces. But at that time you have already transfered your money and you get screwed..
And the $800,000? They exist in your dreams (or in your nightmare if you did transfer the money...) |

Ah sounds like the classic scam? If it sounds too good to be true, it is! Check with your local law enforcement to see if anyone has reported the same or similar type of set up? Do not send them any money or give them any personal information,i.e, bank account #'s credit cards etc.! Good Luck! |

Yep. The best thing to do is to ignore such emails. Banks will never solicitate money over the internet. Intelligence reports say if you do give out personal information to someone you don't know, you will see your bank account wiped out within 24 hours and you will be broke. The money will then be used for drug trafficing or buy weapons to fund global terrorism.
So hear my advice, ignore these emails. |

Well known scam. Received many of those. Give a copy/print of the email to the authorities, like I did. They will try to track the people down and can use any information. After that delete it. Don't give a response. |

Yes I have, several months ago. Any thing to do with
money and romance coming out of Africa is a scam.
There are many groups of people who sit in cyber cafes.
There sole purpose is to make money off of innocent,
needy people. They are very good at what they do!!!!
I still have a complete file of information that needs to be
turned in, for the last scam from there, that was tried on me. (kindhearted) |
