they don't give you anything that you can't get for free at http://www.annualcreditreport.com
the site above was created by act of congress, and is run by the federal government and the three credit bureaus.
the site you mentioned charges you for the same info that you can get for free. what a scam! sure, they call themselves "free," but it's only "free" if you give them $30 up front! |

I haven't used it, but it is a ripoff. All 3 of the credit reporting companies have to provide you 1 free report a year. So freecreditreport.com and others sign you up for some plan then request your free reports and give them to you. Then you are stuck in some monitoring plan you have to pay for. Just contact the credit reporting companies themselves and get your free reports without signing up for anything. |

Yeah i used it.. but after i cancelled my 30 day trial the stupid people kept calling me to sign up. it was prettttyyy annoying. lol |

it seems safe, but you have to pay 14.95 or so every month. you do get a free 7 day trial so if you dont want to pay then just cancelle it if you are wanting just a credit report you might want to try annualcreditreport.com, i beive thats the name of it. by law were reguarded ine free report a year. you have to out in a lot of perosnal information on either one. |

Yes, I have used it twice, and will go back next year.
You can go to freecreditreport.com, and while you have to give them your SSN and debit card number, you can still get your credit report for free.
You will be automatically signed up for credit monitoring, so just cancel within 7 days and you won't be charged. Here's an article on how to cancel: |

Yes, it is the best thing ever and it helps you clean up your report and keep an eye on it.
Also, they tell you alot about credit, there are alot of misconceptions out there.
I highly reccomend it. It is well worth the monthly fee in my openion. Companies try putting things on there about 3 or 4 times a year that don't belong there, and I get them off right away.
Very good deal, even just for the tips and info. You have heard alot of false info about credit I promise.
Yes, you get one free report a year, but slot may go on within a year. At least try it for a few months before you judge it. |
