I just purchased last week. I just started out with $20 because I wasn't too sure about them. I'm down to $3.03 balance. They send me an email every day to let me know what my balance is. Yesterday I received the one with my name on it in the mail. Now, all I have to do is put some more money on it. Beings I do not have a checking account, this card works great for me because I usually just use it to buy stuff online. |

well, i got them once for my best friend. i dont know if she had any problems with it, but we got them the year before for my grandfather and he had problems with it. it said it wasnt activated even tho my mom had to call some number and activate it before she sent it to him so he didnt have to deal with that part (he's old, thats too hard for him).
honestly, if you can get it from a bank do it that way, you wont have to pay fees like they charge at walmart. i know last year wachovia had them, i think bank of america might have as well. |

don't get one! i have had one forever they take your money on them they charge you like 1.99 a month to use them and for some reason my money always disappears when i don't use it. they suck! |

I have one, they work just like a credit or Debit card. There is a monthly charge but it's only like $10 and that makes it where they don't charge you everytime you use your card. Very easy and simple. You can use it online, instores, anywhere you'd use a normal credit/debit card. :) |
