Melissa B | Having a problem making money...needs some advice? |
I have hit rock bottom right now and I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on how to make some extra money to help out with bills and such. I am one of those people who will give anything in my pocket to help someone if they asked me. I recently helped my cousin with her baby, my family with some bills, etc, and now I am hurting. It would be ideal to go back to the people I have helped, but I know they don't have the means of helping me. Does anyone know of another way to come up with some extra money. I have sold some belongings, work extra hours at work... |

I didn't get the impression you're necessarily looking for work from home. Since you say you're already putting in extra hours at work, the first two ideas coming to my mind are, approach your boss and ask for even more work, and get a second job (temporarily, until you're out of trouble).
For that second job, you can work anywhere that has hours you're not working your first job... get creative, don't automatically start flipping burgers. There really are more interesting part-time jobs "out there." Work for a landscaper or lawn & garden equipment dealer, help in an auto repair shop, temp work for an attorney or bank, make deliveries for a floriest, etc.
Additionally, if you think you're not making enough money at your current job (more specifically, not being paid adequately for the work you do put in), you may want to start looking for another full-time job.
If you want to work on your own, you can... repair broken windows in homes, mow yards, wash cars, board & groom dogs, alter clothing, write professional letters for other people, or anything utilizing your own talents. You may also earn money bookkeeping, substitute teaching, tutoring, and in lots of other ways. |
