The SMART thing to do would be to pay off some bills. The FUN thing to do would be to take a small vacation to Vegas!

Put it into a savings account, if you have to ask how to spend it, you don't need the money right now, put it aside for when you really need something, and there it will be!

I would move some of it into The Proser Marketplace and earn a really good return. You'd be making a pretty penny while also helping people out. Prosper is actively seeking people such as yourself to invest in their members loans. I have $1400 invested so far and I'm earning 16.5% - 22% APR. Not too shabby. The rest I would put in a high-yield savings account like ING, EmigrantDirect or Citibank

If you received less than $2000, consider putting it in a regular savings account, just in case you have an emergency, such as medical deductibles or car repair. If it's much more, pay off your highest interest rate bills first.

The same way you spend your salary.

If you can't answer that yourself...

Put your tax refund in a savings account. You never know when you'll need some extra money.
