I went on ebay tonight and bidded on a ps3 and i won the bid. It was only after i made the payment i noticed that the seller said, you have just bidded on an envelope only and these envelopes will contain a gift ranging from 1.00 to 100.00. If you are upset because you just bid on a ps3 too bad. I have done nothing illegal and i abide by all of ebay regulations. Please dont try to contact me or leave any negative feedback about me. You should have read it closer."
I feell so violated it was an intentional hoax with loop holes. How can i handle this what can i do? I tried contacting ebay and they wont even hear a dispute until ten days pass. What can i do? I paid with my bank check card can my bank do something about this? Please help i am not happy giving away 469.00 for an envelope. He basically, rubbed it in with the message he left on the item.

1. If you use paypal to pay, file a complaint there. When paypal shuts his account down for fraud, then he'll have to pay attention.
2. Report his auctions has having misleading information.
It sounds like this was the mystery envelope raffle scam and if you don't report the illegal raffle to eBay, they won't pull them.
3. I'd even call the police in his area--raffles are highly regulated.
Think about it. If he is in charge of the envelopes, even if you bid $1, you'd never win $100. He controls the payment and will ensure that no one wins more than they paid. |

how about you email ebay, if he did this to you he as probably did it to others, and it has happend to me,
you can try and go to the bank and cancel the order,
or go to his/her house and sock him in the gut,
but i really dont know what to do about this,
plus leave negative feedback because he tricked you in witch he said he was sellin an xbox so other people wont get tricked
and if it was under the xbox section and not under the section for envloped(if there is one, or what ever section it should be under) that is false advertisement and you should sue... haha |

File a complaint with Ebay. People have tried this scam before and Ebay has canceled the auction. |

Try calling your bank. They have a 24hr line. Since it is after bank hours the money has not actually left your account. The bank may be able to put a stop on this transaction (or reverse it) before the funds technically are removed from your account. Sorry!! Good luck!
Better yet! Call your bank and say you just realized your debit card was stolen. They will freeze all transactions and send you a new card. No way the jerk could get the money then. |

All you can do it wait. I've seen this happen many times and sadly, ebay will most likely side with the seller. There is a reason to make sure you read the entire listing before bidding. |

im not sure, but i think Ebay is helpful in these things, so contact them in 10 days. i mean i heard stories that they really help when you've been scammed. also if ur using paypall you could contact them. other than that im not sure what you could do |

eBay is SLOW on helping...always, if they help at all!
Contact your bank and demand a stop payment and explain the scam. If PayPal is involved, file a dispute and demand refund.
Immediately leave negative feedback alerting others to the scam.
Work with your bank, they care more and have more power than eBay or PayPal. They should be able to help you. Dispute the charge if they don't stop payment. When you dispute a charge, they automatically return your money until the dispute is settled.
Copy all of the suction info to use in your case against the scammer. it might disappear. |

Wow...so sorry to hear that. E-bay is usually very good about policing sellers. Continue to pursue reporting this scammer to them. Try contacting the better business bureau in the state the seller is from. I would contact your bank to find out if you have some recourse with them. I may even contact the State Attorney's Office in the city/state of the seller to report the scam. Good luck! |

Just wait till the 10days pass ends and contact ebay.
Or you can find out where he lives and visit him with your friends.
I don't think the police can help you, but you can threaten him by e-mail.
I don't know if the bank can help you but if you want to solve this legally if possible it's better to ask around a bit. |
