goodgreif40 | Honest ways to make extra money? |
I am at home a lot because I am disabled. I do bake breads and sell them on occasion, but I need something that will create more money for gas, shopping, and bills. Any good ideas? |

You know, my uncle is disabled and it was to the point he didn't have enough money to support his family, luckily his wife is a RN and makes good money but he used to be a hard worker, and then he got hurt on the job and this is the thanks he gets? I'm sorry, I know it must be hard when you can't get a second job and you can't do much to suppliment your income.
Maybe buy and sell things on ebay? Like repaint or sand and stain old furniture?
Learn how to make blankets and baby clothes?
What about crafts? A friend of the family just had a baby and while she was pregnant she got the letters of her name and painted them a light pink and put like a glitter glaze over them and made little ties to hang them from! I would pay good money for something like that. Try doing like 6 dollars a letter and I bet you could sell them.
Breads is a great idea but maybe expand that. Start a little business where you would make cakes, pies, cookies and more for people who don't want the generic stuff that you can buy at wal mart or hyvee, they want something homemade but don't have the time to do it. Cakes, pies, veggie trays, fruit pizza, tell them whatever they want you will make it. I think that could go over well.
Or making holiday decorations.. poeple like homemade easter and christmas stuff.
How good are you with math and reading and stuff?
I had a older lady that was a retired school teacher and she helped me learn to do math better and my parents paid her like 10 dollars an hour.
Hope I helped. |

You can try "Get Paid To" sites, the one I'm a member at is free to join and use as well.
What you do is fill out free surveys and offers and they pay around $.25-5.00+ for each one depending on which you do. They also have credit card offers for trials and those pay around $15+ depending on which you do as well, the cc ones are completely optional though =)
I personally have been paid by the site, the minimum payout is $10. I made $80ish last month (and May was a busy month for me) just casually doing the offers, I know it doesn't sound like a lot but it puts a little pocket money in your wallet =)
A lot of people actually make more than that too, one stay at home mom on the site made over $1000 a month, for several months in a row.
If you'd like to see proof of payments you can visit my site |

If you can bake you're capable of doing some work.
It appears you can type. Ever heard of being a transcriptionist? Or phone sales, customer service etc?
Maybe you aren't as disabled as you think, handicapped probably,
I'm typing with no legs, but I do customer service work on the computer and phone. I'm not disabled. |

Okay, this is an obvious one, but you could bake MORE pastries and sell them if you have a place to do it.
You can buy things at online auctions or off of Craigslist in lots and then sell them individually for profit (jewelry, clothing, books, CDs, etc.)
Take a hobby you enjoy (or learn a hobby) and sell your products (photos of people's kids, crochet or knit hats and scarves during the winter, sew cute handbags, make magnets, paint, etc.)
Offer to do other people's at home chores for them (laundry, ironing, etc--you can require them to drop off and pick up but you wash, dry and fold.)
Rent out a room of your home.
That's all I could think of now. It's hard to give helpful ideas without knowing what you enjoy and are skilled at. :-) |
