If your mother does not have a copy of your birth certificate when you will have to go with her to the hall of records. She has to fill out some papers with her personal information. If you do not live in the county where you were born, then you have to call and give all of the information that is require for a copy.
This is not a zip zap, after you pay the fee and fill out the paper, they will research and mail a copy of your birth certificate to your home address. It took me three weeks to get a copy of my birth certificated because I misplaced it.
Your mother had to present a copy for you to start school. Do you live near there you went to grammar school? |

Ask your parent or guardin. The town hall in the town you were born and/or the state health dept should have a copy, but in most states I don't think they will release it to a minor without permission anyway. |

to see how to obtain vita records, including your birth certificate. |

Check with your state department of vital statistics. Just google "(your state name) department of vital statistics". They probably have a website.
Did you ask your parents? They should have it. If they've lost it, try as described above. |
