The people who say it's impossible or who suggest crime as the only answer, frankly, don't know what they're talking about. While it's not usually easy (except for those who win the lotto or who inherit), it's absolutely possible. To increase your odds of becoming a millionaire:
o Get the best education possible in a field or vocation that's in a lot of demand. Pursuing "easy" fields of study and the "easiest" instructors is a sure way to mediocrity in your future.
o Set realisitic financial goals in life that will serve as a guide to your financial decisions. Working hard to achieve financial milestones at various junctures in your life will help you make the right decisions. Examples: Driving a used Honda Civic instead of an expensive BMW, avoiding impulse buying, not trying to outdo the guy next door, etc. Research has shown that many self-made millionaires achieved their wealth, in part, by living a conservative lifestyle.
o Strive for excellence in whatever career you pursue (whether you're working for someone or working for yourself). Stand out for your achievements. Don't be satisfied. Push. Work hard and work smart. Achieve. Take initiative.
o In your work or business dealings, always convey a professinonal appearance and manner.

1) Marry someone wealthy
2) Win the lottery
3) Get in to property or trading
4) Go to university and get into the right career
5) Go on a reality TV programme (Big Brother) and you'll be rich in no time (look at Chantelle and Jade Goody - can they spell millionnaire?)
6) Invent something new that everyone will want
7) Start a business, work hard and play little
