Donate blood or sperm, beg on a street corner, get a second job (garbage men make like $34 bucks an hour) wash cars, set up a lemonaid stand, pawn/sell some stuff.
Illegal:
Take a "second job", rob a bank or a rich grandma, steal some stuff and sell it. Grow pot
The illegal ways are alot faster, but the vacation is a ***** (jail for those of you who didnt get that) |

You probably can't even get a loan, you are still a minor, so you would have to go to your parents and ask them to get the loan for you and you pay them back. Tell them what you want to purchase and why and how you will show them how responsbile you can be by paying it back...on time. If it really is for a good cause a car maybe (not to buy christmas gifts) they will help you. |

If you are only making $100.00 a week then you need a different job. You would not even qualify for a loan making that much. You either need to sell something or borrow from someone who can trust you. I am afraid your options are limited.

Well, stripping could be helpful... but if that is not the case you could get a second job, get a rich BF, win the lottery, wait a year and save...

You can't unless you turn to something illegal or have a very rich and generous friend/relative. No bank will give a 17 year-old a $5,000 loan and I believe you need to be 18 to qualify for a credit card in your own name without a co-signer. |

Save for a year. Or try to secure a loan from a bank for $5000. Prove that you have a job and they may loan you the money.
Just walk into the bank branch where you have a savings account. Ask to speak to the manager and ask if they can give you a loan. It's not that scary. They will ask how you expect to pay it back. They will need proof that you have a regular job, such as a pay check or tax return. If you can't prove this they might ask a parent to cosign the loan. This means that if you don't pay, your parents will have to pay.
Or get a credit card such as American Express. They have large limits, and get a cash advance on it. Mind you there is a large fee associated with cash advances. And the interest rates are high for credit cards. |
