Work for youself - become a handy man/odd job man.
You'll get paid as soon as you've done the job so if you can find a local job or two you'll have enough for a full tank of petrol and a sandwich.
Stick a note in your local newsagent's window. I'm sure the work will come pooring in.
Oh, don't forget to tell the taxman - they don't like it when people work for cash. |

talk to your friends and former work mates to find out about any local work. Even if its just for a few weeks.Try local sites and ask people as they come out if there is any work. Take a hard hat, boots and a high vis to get on site and ask round. |

You will never get out of this hole unless you get back to work. If you really wanted to you would find a way to make it to and from work until your first paycheck. You can always pawn something until payday, or have a garage sale. These seem to be excuses you are telling yourself prolonging unemployment. |

Put up a garage sale & sell some of the tools. Get some petrol from the money. Ask for some advanced salary from your boss. |
