Wow, I feel really rich now.
You need professional help. Stay away from these loan consolidation places. You need an independent financial adviser.
Good luck, it will take you a while to get rid of the debt. |

Wow! Research debt consolidation loans.
I got a credit line from Bank of America for my $10,000 cc debt. I'm paying $340 a month for three years.
You'll never get them paid off if you don't do something about it. |

First of all, look at all the cards, and work out all the interest rates on all the cards. Your priority is to lower the overall amount of interest you're paying. You need to stop using the cards completely. The only way to get out of debt is to stop digging a bigger hole.
See if you can transfer some of the balance of the highest interest rate cards onto a card with a lower rate. That will reduce the amount of interest you're paying, which will save you money over the long term.
Next, pay the minimum on all the cards, but extra on the card with the highest interest rate, regardless of balance. The interest is costing you the most money. Get rid of that card, and move onto the next highest interest rate card. Keep doing that until you're on top of the debt. The more you do this, the more available funds you will have, and the faster you'll pay off the debt. This is the fastest way to clear the debt.
I would avoid debt consolidation if you possibly can. It just tacks on a fee and ruins your credit history, making it very hard to get a loan later on. You can do this yourself if you're determined.
If you possibly can generate some more money, put that into the highest interest rate debt. I suggest selling things through the newspaper, taking an extra job (I went to University and I worked 2 jobs, so it can be done) car pooling, taking your lunch from home, and tutoring. All these are strategies that can keep more money in your pocket.
Best wishes |

the time to think about "I cannot afford it" was when you charged the cards.
there's only one way to get rid of it... pay it off.
you charged it, You pay it.
I'm in the same situation, but at least I'm accepting responsability and not looking for a quick way out. |

My suggestion is Google up Waste baskets. Put a nice strong one on one of those over due Babies so you have a place to store all those annoying bills when they come in. |

Wow, sounds pretty extreme. I presume you mean a debit.
You need to talk to a financial advisor. |

Maybe you could transfer the balances to lower-rate credit cards. |

You could always try to consolidate your bills into one easy payment a month of your choice. You can usually do this through your bank! They pay everything off for you at once and then you slowely pay them back every month. Don't worry it's probably cheaper to do it this way rather than all those monthly payments to the credit company! |

I know it looks bad but it isnt the end of the world. Cut back on some of your expenses like drinking or smoking or other frivolous activities and put that money toward your debt. Any extra money you get also put that towards you debt. Just think when you are done with your schooling you will have the time and money to pay it off. You could also try a condolidation loan or transfer your balance to a credit card with a 12 month lower interest rate. Usually can get them a 0% for twelve months. That alone would save you a few thousand dollars. They have some great rate cards at
