Even if you are 14 you can still get "jobs" - i.e. babysitting, snow shoveling, mowing lawns, moving stuff, etc. Your parents might be able to give you work and you should ask them to ask their friends to hire you to do things. It will be a lot of work to raise $3000 - after all, you can't expect to get paid a lot per hour when you are 14 - but if it's worth it to you, it can be done!

Also, if you don't have the money to go, your parents should ask the school about discounts, scholarships, etc that might cover part of the cost. If you really NEED to go on the trip, the school should offer something like that. However, I think what you meant was you REALLY REALLY WANT TO GO, not that you NEED to...in which case, see above advice.

Ok, get a job... if you figgure that you have 6 months to pay for it... you need to make $500 a month... from there you will need to put away $125 a week. So, get yourself a job and start putting atleast that amount away a week.

Rake leaves, Clean homes, Walk dogs, Gardening, Shovel snow, Handyman work, Run Errands, Tutoring

There are a lot of jobs that don't require pesky things like; set hours, uniforms, bosses, or IRS forms. Just putting up a notice sheet at the local market can net you a lot of easy jobs.

If you can show up at an agreed upon time, look halfway professional, and speak English well, you will have no trouble taking over as the neighborhood handyman in a senior-heavy area. Once you're eating and showing a profit, you can even look into getting a work-only mobile phone, business cards, etc etc.

Or you can keep up the "OMG i needz munny rite nowz!" cycle, and be in a financial panic your whole life.

Responsibility, get some and pass it on.

You could start a chain letter....
You could babysit....
You could shovel snow or do other yardwork, just put fliers out with your contact number in nice neighborhoods where people might be willing to hire you....
You could ask your family members to give you money towards the trip instead of Christmas or birthday gifts....
You could skip lunch and save up your lunch money...
Think of any way you spend money, and stop spending it....
You could start a "winter weather dog walking service" cuz lots of older ppl don't want to go out to walk the dog when it is cold out...
Use your imagination

I believe you would be able to make 3000 dollars if you got a part time job working about 25 hours per week and making at least 6 dollars and fifty cents per hour.

The traditional way...

Get one or two regular jobs (and as many side jobs - mowing lawns, etc. - as you can) and save every dollar you can from that income.

The untraditional (but still legal) way...

If you're at all enterpreneurial, take a month (no more!) and pick the brains of some local self-employed (check out your local Chamber of Commerce) and/or other self-employed folks you can find on the Internet (but be REALLY careful!). Come up with some business options - research them thoroughly - and then see what comes from that. But be careful! You can get burned easily, if you're not careful. LOTS of scams out there.
