Become a Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives. The Democrat congress member's every policy is aimed at giving more people free fish, which they eat and then they are hungry again. They wait for the next free fish, which they eat and then are hungry again. The next election comes, and the poor people go to the polls and vote Democrat, because they are hungry again and want more free fish. Voila, you are now personally profiting, because you get relected and can continue to collect that fat salary.

You could hire illegal immigrants to work for you below the minimum wage. Bum fights has already been done. Radio shows do a lot of bits where they belittle homeless people, and it gets descent ratings, so you could try doing something like that on you tube. You could also get them to sell you their organs in the black market, and then resell those organs at a higher price, or just knock them out and take their organs. You could become a pimp... there are a lot of illegal options out there, but since you're serious about this you've probably already thought of those. Legally, you could do a gameshow where you have poor people do really belittling challenges for money... or food. Other than exploiting them in these ways you really don't have much of an option. They're poor, so it's not like they have any money or abilities in the first place so you would HAVE to exploit them, this really isn't a win-win situation. You'd probably be better off trying to profit from rich people, on account of they actually have money. Hope this helps, and Good Luck!!! |

I assuming you are asking the question of why do we want some people to be poor?
The answer is simple. How much money I have doesn't make me powerful. How much money I have compared with other people makes me powerful.
If you can imagine the Emperor of China. Most people today in Western countries would a far more luxurious life than the emperor of China. Or houses are bigger (sure the Forbidden palace in Beijing was large, but it housed tens of thousands of people, and the emperors own quarters were pretty small). We have access to more food, better health care, ability to travel to many places in the world and really apart from the 3000 wives our lives are much better (and it is possible to have lots of sex with many partners these days any way).
But the emperor had much more money than other people.
When the whole economy is growing we benefit from helping the poor become richer. But if the economy is stable then our only option is to increase our wealth against other peoples.
Generally speaking poverty makes everyone poorer. It increases the crime rate, the rate of infectious diseases and so on. But if the community is not getting better we can only benefit by being selfish and trying to get as much as we can for ourselves (even if in the long-term we end up poorer because the community is poorer, we are at least not as poor as others). |
