I wrote my own newspaper and sold it in my area from the time I was 6 until I was 12. I made about $30 a month from it, and probably could have made more if I'd put more work into it. If you start your own business, you can do pretty much anything. Think about things you like and things you are good at, and somewhere in there you will find something people will pay you to do or make.

After a fresh coat of snow, grab a shovel and go door to door. I see many kids doing this and I always pay them. Not because I cant go out and do it myself, but because I admire them for rolling up their sleeves and going out and doing hard work. |

If you live in area with winter clear driveways and walks, in warm times cut grass. Do odd and ends of jobs. Also do research and see when your state legal working age is, I started working when I was 14. |

sell lemonade, steal from your siblings, save your money, ask your mom or dad, baby-sitting, paper route, sell some of your stuff that you don't use anymore. do some chores, don't spend $10 a week on candy.
