be a stripper...jk.jk...i dont think there is a way to get 5000 dollards fast especially for a 13 year old.Just save money for a period of time and do little jobs here and there ...when your 18 you'll probably have the money....jkjkjk...hahha |

It's kinda weird that you're parents wouldn't want to pay for a piano, cuz if you want to do it you should. I started when I was 4 and my parents bought me one immediately. But anyway, if you really need $5000 that bad it's gonna be a little hard. In school ask for like $20 a week if they don't give you lunch money in advance. Then, save those $20 and secretly take food from home. In two months that would give you $160. Then, you might need to do some minor working AT LEAST. Like babysitting, if you're up for it. Maybe take $5-$10 an hour. If you play any other instruments then you could do a working business. And if your birtday is coming up ask for $100 or something. Then, since school is almost over ask your parents that if you can A's and B's maybe they could give you a reward ($), but only make it a minimum of like 2 b's. Then a bigger award for straight A's. Maybe you could get some money for taking out the recycle and trash everyday, I do it and it literally only takes about 5-10 minutes. You could ask for $5 every time. Just think about all those minor things you could do, their not that hard. I wish you lots and lots of luck in getting that piano. And if you do, have fun learning! :) |

What's wrong with dogs and mowing? If you are to lazy to do those things to get what you want then the parents know you will never follow through on piano lessons thus saying no to you.
Also you DO NOT need a 5K piano to begin with. Look in the papers and you can pick up a pretty decent one for a few hundred dollars. Good luck if that is what you really want it is a whole lot of work and discipline and with your I don't want to do.... I think you might have a real problem staying motivated. |

You don't need $5000 to get a piano.
Start with the questions :
__Why not try a keyboard instrument first?
__ If you had a piano would that be OK with your parents?
__Do they have the floor space and Is there a safe place to put the piano(so it won't be damaged by water, careless siblings or pets) ?
__Would they be willing to have you practice as often as you need to?
__From whom would you take lessons?
__Who would pay for the lessons?
__Would you stick to the plan long enough to make it worthwhile?
__What other objections do they have?
Do your homework and present your case to your parents.
Read the ads, and see how much used pianos cost. Ask a piano store how much a used piano costs. How much are moving costs for a piano?
I think you could gat a good used piano for under $1000. A beginner doesn't need a grand piano.
Do you have a nearby relative or good friend who has a piano you could practice on for a few weeks or months until you are sure you will stick to the piano lesson idea?
There might be somebody you know who is ready to change decor or who is planning to move and who has a piano to sell to a good home (that would be you).
Or did you mean a piano to peck around on with no lessons. That might be a harder sell than lessons. |
